HARE APPLIQUE

Make a hare picture in fabric in a day. Kate will provide 4 different hare templates to choose from with pictures of how the finished work could look. She will guide you through the process of creating a background, ideas for settings will be given, including simple landscapes and then making the hare. You will consider design, composition and colour. Kate will show you how to use fusible webs to hold everything in place and finally demonstrate how to stitch with free motion embroidery to finish the piece. The composition can also be finished with hand sewing if preferred. The finished design will be approximately 40cm square. In addition to the requirements Kate will provide a workshop kit, fee £5, payable to Kate on the day.
