Have you been inspired by The Great British Sewing Bee, but lack the confidence to start dressmaking on your own? Did you start dressmaking at school and haven't sewn since? Are you already dressmaking but need a little help to achieve a more professional finish? Join one of our dressmaking classes and sew in the company of like-minded people, exchanging ideas and tips with help on hand from our very experienced tutor, Pippa Pease.
With over thirty years experience within the dressmaking community, Pippa has sewn everything from a penguin ski hat (think Wallace and Grommet) to wedding dresses. Having trained and worked within adult education for over 10 years, teaching both leisure and C&G in dressmaking, soft furnishings and creative textiles she has developed her own approach.
Pippa takes great joy in sharing her skills with students in a creative environment, where they can develop at their own pace without pressure and with humour along the way! You will work on your own project in class with Pippa on hand to guide and assist you through the process, helping with any difficulties or questions on the way. These classes are open to all skill levels, beginners welcome.
