JAPANESE HANTEN JACKET Three-Day Workshop

Back by popular demand. This is a Japanese-style boxy jacket with big pockets and wide sleeves and a stepped chevron patchwork motif. Made to fit you, the first class will be about drafting the simple, flat, square pattern pieces using the traditional Japanese method (handspan, arm length etc… no embarrassing measurement need be taken!) Then to move on to the patchwork and quilting and in the final class will start to put the jacket together and add the collar. PLEASE NOTE: there will be an amount of homework to complete between the three classes to ensure that you can get to the finishing stage in Workshop 3. Each student will receive a full set of instructions, with colour photographs and diagrams and, of course, you will have your pattern pieces so you can make this pattern again. This is a machine sewing class.
