A lovely creative day using fabric paints and free-motion “scribble” stitch to create a Winter Frost picture with a glint of frosty sparkle. No artistic experience required – just your enthusiasm – you don’t need to know how to draw or even how to stitch in a straight line! This workshop is a fun introduction to using free motion stitching and requires no prior experience. Carolyn will demonstrate, step by step, how to add layers of colour to represent seed heads & foliage shapes and then stitch the outlines, stems and leaves.
Techniques you will learn on this workshop include: Use of fabric paints, free motion stitching and using metallic thread. All materials are provided – students will need a sewing machine that has the option to drop the feed dogs for free- motion stitching (the shop has machines to borrow - please book with the shop if required). Finished size, approximately 14" x 14" square.
