After the success of the three taster days of this new class in the summer term we are delighted to be adding it to our list of regular classes. Starting this September, it will follow a similar format to the current classes with the exception that (at the request of the students!) the afternoon session will be slightly longer, three hours. For those of you that missed the launch of the class please read on……….
If you enjoy combining sewing with art this is the perfect class for you. A chance to delve into that box of materials and objects you have been collecting for years, explore your creativity, share ideas and a time to experiment and play! Bev will be there to support and inspire, helping you to develop your unique creative style.
This is a relaxed and unstructured time to work on your own project, at your own pace, with the occasional opportunity to take part in a mini project with Bev; something fun, or to learn a new technique, the choice will be yours. The class is open to all levels, no matter what stage you are at.
Many of you may know Bev from her very popular mixed media and free motion quilting workshops at Sew and So's. She has always loved art and creating, studying all sorts of mediums at art college; pottery, painting, technical drawing, calligraphy, photography, and woodwork to name but a few. In the intervening years, her family kept her busy with no time to pursue her art, apart from the usual stick'n'paste with the children! As Bev commented... “I just love getting arty......there are no mistakes in what we do, they are just creative opportunities!”
When going to press there are only a couple of places left so if you are interested be quick to book, or put your name on the waiting list - unleash your creativity, art is fabulous for the soul!
The class is on Wednesday afternoons between 1.00 and 3.30pm and will be held in the studio within the shop.
