Join award-winning quilter, Vendulka Battais, and master the art of Free-Motion Quilting (FMQ). This workshop is open to both beginners and those students wishing to improve.
Beginners
Vendulka will patiently take you through the basics: stitch length, thread choices, how to hold your fabric, finding the right mindset and more. With Vendulka’s clear and precise instruction by the end of the day you will have a newfound confidence.
Advanced
If you’ve tried FMQ but feel as though you are lacking in confidence, or you’d like to take your FMQ further, then this is the class for you. Try out new motives and push your skill further, take a look at different quilts and the variety of ways to quilt them.
Vendulka likes to work with real people’s examples, so if you’d like to bring a quilt of your own that you’d like help with to quilt, please bring it with you. It might be something that is waiting to be quilted, but you don’t know where to start, or something you have quilted but feel like you could do some more. Vendulka will not judge or criticise your quilting but rather help you, and others, make decisions when it comes to quilting.
