PROJECT LINUS DAY “A QUILT IS A HUG”. A free, day workshop led by Margaret Smith with kits provided FOC by Sew and So’s. Saturday, 29 August 2026

Join us at Sew and So’s for a fun productive day making quilt tops for Project Linus – if you are new to Project Linus there is a brief history below. The aim of this free workshop is to complete a quilt top on the day using two different designs, hopefully we will finish at least twelve quilt tops to be quilted voluntarily by Carolyn James at Sew Suffolk Quilts. Sew and So’s will be providing kits of prepared fabrics for two designs, either Rail Fence or a Square in a Square.
It will be an intensive day’s sewing to complete the quilt tops by the end of the day but hopefully the achievement of making quilts for this very worthy cause will be compensation for your hard work. All you need to bring is your sewing machine and threads. Please note, there will be no tuition, but Margaret Smith will be leading the day and ensure all runs smoothly.
Sew and So’s will also be providing a drinks, delicious cake from Earsham Street Café and bowl of fruit to keep you all going!
