THIS IS A RESERVE LIST Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dying technique, which produces a number of different patterns on fabric using stitching, folding scrunching etc. In this workshop we will be using the stitching method. By stitching and gathering up the material in a controlled way and then dying in Indigo you can create some unique pieces of fabric which can then be used in another project i.e. cushion, table runner, bag or wall hanging to name a few.
Indigo dying is unique, when you remove your items from the dye bath they will be green and as the fabric comes in contact with air it changes to blue. A kit containing everything you will need is provided by the tutor, £15 payable to the tutor on the day.
