MAKING THE ISLA TOP (Next steps in sewing with stretch fabrics)

This is the perfect top to tackle as you set out on your stretch fabric journey. If you’ve done any of the stretch workshops with Pippa, this is the next step. Making a top. Isla has very few pieces, but you’ll hone your stretch skills with seams, neck binding and twin needles.
This is a high neck relaxed fit top that fits on the hip with dolman sleeves and an interesting feature of a back yoke. Pippa will guide you through the techniques as they occur.
Cotton jersey will be easier to work with if you’re just starting out but a softer knitted/Jersey fabric will also give a nice finish to this top. The softer fabric will test your sewing skills a little more but if you’ve used cotton jersey then this would be a good tester. Pattern can be ordered from the shop and will cost £14.40.
