Your chance to recreate one of my award-winning quilts (Festival of Quilts 2022). Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) blocks go together to make the “impossible” motif, which forms the off-centre centrepiece of this optical illusion. With the addition of ghost blocks in the background this quilt can be expanded to be any size you like and I will work with you during the workshop to create your own personal layout.
Full tuition will be given at the workshop for this versatile technique – even if you haven’t tried it before, by the time you have all your blocks made you will be proficient. Each student will receive a full set of instructions, with colour photographs and diagrams, to complete the project at home. This is a machine sewing class. Because of the size of the pattern (64 pages), which includes full sized templates for each block, there will be a £5 pattern charge payable on the day of the class. Sew and So’s will also be providing a delicious cake and a bowl of fresh fruit each day to keep you going!
