Designed by Carolyn James, who specialises in teaching Patchwork and Quilting to absolute beginners, this fun course is a great introduction to the wonderful world of Patchwork and Quilting. Jam packed with tips and techniques, this is a complete course for the absolute beginner - from cutting fabric to learning to sew patchwork blocks, quilting and binding. You will learn a variety of patchwork skills in addition to using the correct tools and equipment which will help you to achieve consistent results. At the end of the course, you will have a beautiful quilt and the confidence and knowledge to build on the skills you have learnt.
The course will require the student to complete some additional work at home in between classes. A very basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine - how to thread your machine and wind a bobbin is required.
