The Floaty Chiffon Top is a delightful lightweight top with a jersey lining for modesty's sake, with its flatteringly loose shape it is perfect for romantic summer evenings. Constructed with an overlocker, it takes full advantage of your machine's ability to combine two different fabrics in one garment. You will be using the overlocker on both seams and hems, and, if you wish, try some decorative threads as well. You will need 2.5 metres of chiffon and 1.5 metres of toning jersey or similar (must have a stretch of at least 50%). If you have a vest top which fits, bring it along, Jan will show you how to take a pattern from that top.
