SCRAP-TACULAR SCRAPPY BLOCKS
A one-day workshop
Tutor: Carolyn James
Workshop Fee: £40
Day/Date: Monday 20 July 2026
Time: 10 am – 3:30 pm
Skill level: Confident beginners upward
Following on from the success of the previous two ScrapTastic workshops, Carolyn has created a third “Scrap-Tacular Scrappy Blocks” workshop for 2026. Using the same “Scrap Management” system as the original workshop, students will learn two new blocks that can be used to create a quilt, or whatever project you choose. In this new fun, creative workshop, Carolyn will demonstrate how she gains control of her leftover fabric and scraps by implementing a ScrapTastic sorting, cutting and storage system. Fabric is no longer left languishing in cupboards, no scraps are wasted and all fabric is ready and waiting to create scrappy projects. Within the workshop, students will learn the top tips of fabric and scrap management and then make two blocks using their fabric – the ScrapTastic Diamond and the ScrapTastic Log Cabin block. Come along to learn ScrapTastic tips and techniques to use the fabric you have left over from previous projects, fabric that just doesn’t go with anything else and the left-over scraps that you have kept but have no idea what to do with! This workshop is ideal for those new to Carolyn’s ScrapTastic scrap method or for those who have attended previous workshops.
