It is a 21 wale cord which means there are 21 ribs per inch, which is a fine needlecord and velvety smooth. This fabric is made from 100 percent cotton fibres and has a lovely soft feel. Corduroy is also extremely durable and can be used in dressmaking, for soft furnishings and toys and even for upholstery.
